Some perspective on 'core membership'
I know this is probably gonna be a long journal, but if you manage to read all the way through the end you might perhaps even get to learn a few things.
Furthermore I want to state that my opinion on the matter is pretty much neutral. I'm not with DeviantArt on the matter, nor am I against them. I just want to make people see things from the perspective of a 27 year old woman that has been in the web industry for the last decade.
The internet is not free
First of all, and most important thing to realize, is that the internet is not free. Everyone who lived through the early ages of web 1.0. (old people like me) knows that it costs money to

Mental Health in the Workplace
There are a number of recent campaigns aimed at raising awareness of mental health and mental illness in order to reduce the stigma surrounding this topic. This movement is definitely empowering and a step in the right direction, but it can be difficult to live out their goals of openness, acceptance, and freedom in our everyday lives. We might tell close family members and friends about our diagnoses, but when it comes to telling others, it's often a different story -- especially when it comes to the workplace.
Most of us decide not to disclose our diagnoses to our bosses or coworkers because we're afraid of the reaction we'd get, how we mi

I can't decide what my favorite thing about Banwa's art is. I love the way they draw faces, and their soft coloring style, and the expressions that they draw. Its all good and im a big fan.

T-clock's gallery is filled with a certain theme, and that's not something i've seen very often. But it isn't repetitive at all, and actually has me wondering about the stories behind each work. Their use of colors and gradients and stars always has me feeling things.

Vin-n's sketches are very pleasing to my eyes. The different sizes of lines that they use gives me a sense of satisfaction, if that makes any sense. I look forward

Helloooo! How are you guys and gals doing?
I know I've said before that I'll try to keep my journal updated, but again I wasn't able to. OTL
This has been a very busy year for me! Working on a lot of projects! Catching so many deadlines!
Also dealt with a lot of real-life stuff [what?]. It kinda made me depressed when I looked at my 2014 personal
illusts folder and saw very few personal illustrations. Most of my illusts this year were for clients.
Having realized that, I've finished all my deadlines and client projects and I am now taking a break from work
this month! Yay for December personal month!
Right now I am working on a postc

To start out, I have to point out my love for the way they draw hands. I see so much potential for incredible things from this artist. I'm in love with their art as it is now but I know they're going to keep improving, and thats so exciting!
cikru (https://www.deviantart.com/cikru)
Cikru uses so many colors in their art, and i dont really understand how they all work so well together, but its all very pretty! Maybe I could learn a thing or two from them.
PastelCannibal (https://www.deviantart.com/pastelcannibal)
I haven't been watching PastelCannibal for very long but their current style has me in tears. Its soft, and very pleasing to my eyes. I especially enjoy the way they color and shade faces.
